Undoubtedly, medical professions are among the most responsible and challenging. However, there are instances where individuals responsible for the care and restoration of human health inflict significant harm, which can even lead to the patient's death. Medical professionals hold a special status, as their proper performance of their duties directly affects the realization of the most fundamental constitutional rights, including the right to health and life. This article discusses the problematic issues of the special status of the subject of iatrogenic crimes and proposes ways to improve the legislation regarding the legal status of medical professionals and the need to include it as a qualifying feature in the crime.
