On the issue of diagnostics and surgical treatment terms of children with congenital heart disease

Age terms of initial diagnostics and surgical treatment were determined in Omsk children and adolescents with congenital heart disease. Data analysis of independent population monitoring found that combined heart diseases have been detected on the first month of life among boys only in 51. 38±2.93% of all children from 0 to 17 years old with heart disease, and among girls - in 48.13±3.41% while isolated heart diseases were diagnosed more rarely - in 35.57±1.67 and 27.18±1.58% respectively. After the first year of life children with first diagnosed heart disease accounted for 32.91%. The greatest unit weight accounted for cases of congenital heart diseases surgical treatment in children of 0 to 7 years old (80.38±2.07%), mainly during the 1st and the 2nd year of life. On the whole 17.36% of children with congenital heart disease and large vessels disease were operated.
