To the question about insurance of cultural property

The author examines the issues of insurance of items of the museum fund of the Russian Federation during temporary exhibitions. Notes the main problems of this procedure: the choice of an insurer, determination of the compliance of the terms of the insurance policy with generally accepted international standards, the procedure for considering losses in case of damage or destruction of exhibits. Analyzes the features of the types of commercial insurance (and reinsurance) of museum items (obligatory and optional), the problems that arise when the host of the exhibition provides state guarantees. Provides directions for solving identified problems.
