The modern development of technologies in the field of transport has led to the active introduction of unmanned vehicles, such as autonomous vehicles, drones and other types of unmanned vehicles, into everyday life. These innovations create new opportunities to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation, but at the same time create new threats to road safety and the operation of vehicles. Crimes against traffic safety committed using unmanned vehicles represent one of the urgent problems of criminal law that requires in-depth analysis and development of approaches to legal regulation. The article is devoted to the issues of qualification of crimes related to the use of unmanned vehicles. The existing difficulties in determining the subjects of responsibility, such as operators, vehicle owners, manufacturers and software developers, are considered. The gaps in Russian legislation are analyzed and recommendations are offered on the adaptation of legal norms to new conditions. The need to review traditional approaches to the qualification of crimes and the development of new regulatory mechanisms to ensure safety in the context of the use of autonomous transport technologies is discussed.
