Towards the issue of media discourse properties

The article is focused on the properties of the media discourse. The authors give a systematic description of the properties of the media discourse and their relationship. The author highlights pragmatic, semantic and structural characteristics of the media discourse. General characteristics are claimed to be inherent both in the media discourse and the media text, while specific characteristics are related to the media discourse alone. The conclusion about the relationship of different characteristics is presented graphically.
