On the impact of information technology on modern law

The article analyzes various positions of domestic scientists on the impact of information technology development on modern law. It is offered to divide authors’ points of view into three levels: the influence on the law as a whole, including the need for scientific research in the bases of legal theory at the level of doctrine; the need for scientific comprehension of information technologies influence at the level of law branches; the need for scientific research in specific law dimension at the level of legislation development regulating specific moments. Changes in connection with introduction of digital technologies of some legal institutes of constitutional, civil, criminal, labor and procedural branches of law are considered. It is argued that the impact of technological progress will inevitably lead to the transformation of traditional law.
