To the question of the psychological well-being affecting autobiographical memory functioning of the students

The article is devoted to such an actual today issue as the psychological well-being affecting autobiographical memory functioning of the students. The autobiographical memory is construed as long-term memory subsystem, which operates the memories about of significant events and states for personality. The authors describe the empirical study results. It was carried out using the free retrieval of events technique and the Ryff Scales of Psychological Well-being. It was found that the subjects actualized more positive autobiographical events. Respondents named the greatest number of events from such fields of life as leisure and interpersonal relationships. The authors found that «memories peak» accrue to the late youth. The subjects with high level of psychological well-being reproduced more positive autobiographical events, the largest number of events related to the field of leisure, interpersonal relations, personal achievements, professional activity than the subjects with low and middle levels of psychological well-being. The authors detected characteristic of retrieval of autobiographical events, which depends on the level of psychological well-being of the youth.
