To the question of the influence of the sociocultural factor on the results of bilingual speech activity

The article is devoted to the influence of the socio-cultural factor on the results of bilingual speech activity, or translation. The topicality of addressing to this issue comes from the incomplete study of the influence of extralinguistic factors on the process of creating a foreign-language text. The author considers the socio-cultural factor as a factor related to extralinguistic conditions of understanding the authentic text and generating a text in a foreign language. The examples given consider the effect of the socio-cultural factor both separately and in its interaction with the subjective-psychological factor, since the author of a foreign-language text acts as a bearer of certain subjective-psychological and professional characteristics in certain cultural-historical and socio-political conditions. The purpose of studying the socio-cultural factor, as well as other extralinguistic factors influencing the process of creating a foreign-language text, is, in the author's opinion, to develop clearer and more specific criteria for assessing the results of bilingual speech activity.
