/t/ allophones and its substitute phonemes in Afro-American singing

The current paper investigates realization patterns of voiceless front stop /t/ and other phonemes that substitute itin Afro-American rap. We consider the theories of Ebonics emerging and its status. We also view Afro-American rap as the phenomenon that combines the features of sing and casual speach. The results of its acoustic analysis enabled to discover the phonetic properties of Standard American and British that overlap with the ones characteristic only for Ebonics.
