Revisiting import substitution at construction and housing enterprises in the new economic environment

The article considers the relevance of development of import substitution policy in Russia as a refusal to consume goods from abroad due to the production of domestic high-tech products. In the current economic environment import substitution requires big financial investments both from government bodies and from entrepreneurs, and it is one of the important factors in effective development of import substitution processes in Russia. The article discusses import substitution processes at construction and housing enterprises. We have analyzed the processes in this area over the past few years, which show that the current import substitution policy is underdeveloped, but have a significant potential for further effective implementation. Based on the results of our study, we have formulated the prospects and directions for development of Russia's import substitution policy in construction industry, housing and utilities infrastructure.
