On the study of socio-psychological characteristics and motives of migration behavior of citizens emigrating from Russia

The author describes the problem of migration behavior of citizens from the perspective of a socio-psychological approach. The author pays attention to such type of migration as external intentional. The dynamics of migration processes in Russia are described based on the analysis of the motives and motivational attitudes of emigrants from Russia over the past decades. The probability of the connection of motives and motivational attitudes with the socio-psychological characteristics of citizens emigrating from Russia to European countries is also emphasized. Based on the theoretical analysis of the scientific literature on the problem under study, objective and subjective factors determining the decision to emigrate from Russia are determined. The author describes the main socio-psychological characteristics of the emigrants' personality, which are components of life satisfaction and psychological well-being of those who have made a decision to emigrate from the country or refuse such a decision
