On the object of drug theft

The issue of the main and additional objects of the crime provided for by Art. 229 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is considered in the article. Various points of view on this issue are analyzed as well as examples from judicial practice are given. Based on the analysis, the author comes to the conclusion that the direct object of the crime in question is social relations, which are shaped in the process of ensuring physical, mental and social well-being of many people, where there are no diseases caused by non-medical use of drugs.
