On the issue of work satisfaction in the organization (case study of ISEDT RAS)

The article considers one of the most important issues of labor relations - employees’ satisfaction with the work. The author provides rationalization for the issue, explains the importance of work satisfaction of the employees as an asset base ensuring the organization’s competitiveness and sustainable development. The article presents theoretical and methodological approaches to the definition of the term “work satisfaction” using as a basis works of F. Herzberg, D. C. McClelland, G. E. Mayo, R. Stolberg, G.N. Sokolova, I.Ye. Vorozheikin, V.A. Yadov, A.A. Kissel’, A.A. Murutar, N.F. Naumova, etc. Also the author considers theoretical aspects of factor theories of satisfaction on the basis of works of F. Herzberg, J.R. Hackman and G.R. Oldham, M. Argyle, D. Schultz and S. Schultz, etc. Assuming that personnel’s satisfaction is an important indicator of the organization’s sustainable development, the author clarifies the importance of the practical study of this issue...
