On the issue of stability of economic systems in the conditions of uncertainty of the external environment

The article deals with the issues of ensuring the stability of economic systems during periods of changes and transformations. The transformation of economic systems in the context of their digitalization prospects is an urgent problem that requires the attention of researchers and practitioners. The relevance of the study is due to the lack of a universally recognized science-based concept for ensuring economic sustainability during periods of fundamental transformation. Sustainability is considered as a fundamental property of economic systems. The article reveals the essence of the boundaries of the stability of economic systems, offers an approach to their assessment, and shows the directions of using the proposed approach in the process of making management decisions. The study uses an interdisciplinary approach that allows us to consider the stability of the economy in the context of the compatibility of internal parameters of its functioning and development with the changing parameters of the external environment.
