The article discusses some areas, problems, forms and methods of work to improve the performance of students in universities, taking into account their individual characteristics. Work to improve the performance of students is complex and requires both a systemic and an individual approach. The analysis presents the specific psychological and pedagogical influences on students selected by the curators of the groups, leading to an increase in students' academic performance.
