Revisiting a preliminary study of trace information at the crime scene

The article author considers the issues of the preliminary analysis of traces at the place of occurrence and one determines the objectives of this work and considers the information which may contain traces. There are addressed the issues of situational analysis of the place of occurrence. In the article the range of subjects of preliminary study is defined. The article author makes suggestions regarding further development of comprehensive analysis of the trace information in forensics, about the need to develop a uniform algorithm of information gathering and processing of trace information as a set of traces, which were remained at the crime scene.
