The author proposes an option for applying the paradigmatic analysis to reveal the relationship between philosophical thinking and scientific knowledge while dealing with society. On the one hand, the identification of such correlation makes it possible to determine the degree of integrity of social cognition and find the answers to worldview questions within its context. On the other hand, it allows one to reveal the typical schemes to explain social processes. It is impossible to achieve this goal and solve the relevant problems only by considering the most significant historical backgrounds to social and philosophical thought and social sciences. This is largely due to the specific nature of scientific knowledge which requires the examination of theoretical constructs based on empirical evidence. Therefore, there is a need to apply the paradigmatic method not only to social reality but also to certain phenomena of social life. At the same time, this phenomenon should correspond to the specific nature of philosophical knowledge. If the possibility of conducting the empirical research is the most important characteristic of the subject matter, process or phenomenon for scientific knowledge, the clear ideal plan is an essential element for philosophical knowledge.
