Qualitative methods of collecting sociological information in the preparation of graduate qualification works: experience of application in research of undergraduate and graduate students

The following article describes the possibility of using qualitative methodology in preparing the empirical basis for graduate qualification works (both undergraduate and graduate) in the direction of “Sociology, Social Work”. On the example of one bachelor’s and one master’s graduate qualification work the peculiarities of applying qualitative research methods are shown: monographic case analysis, in-depth interview, focused group interview, qualitative content analysis. According to the article conclusion, the use of qualitative methods in writing a graduate qualification work expands the researcher’s potential, allows to study the chosen object of research in a comprehensive and complex way, to interpret the subject of research more fully in the context of the chosen sociological concept.
