Quality of life patients on renal replacement therapy

The article presents the results of a comparative study of quality of life of 70 patients with chronic renal failure who are on different types of substitution treatment - hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, after kidney allotransplantation. In all groups studied in patients with terminal chronic renal failure who are on various types of renal replacement therapy, the highest level of social frustration and dissatisfaction is noted in the field of financial position. It is also noted dissatisfaction with your physical condition and capacity for work in groups of patients on hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. In the analysis of the basic parameters of quality of life for the maximum differences were found in groups of patients on peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplant patients in the parameters “Pain” and “Vitality”. Analysis of disability showed that the examined patients the greatest problems are found in the category of “Major areas of life”, related to gainful employment and economic independence. The smallest problems are found in the categories of “Self-Service” and “Lifestyle”.
