Quality of life in atrial fibrillation patients after radiofrequency operation MAZE

Quality of life of patients with atrial fibrillation is analyzed to evaluate the efficacy of radiofrequency endocardial operation MAZE with the use of the questionnaire SF-36. Ninety one patients (68 males, 23 females aged 24-79 years, mean age 53,6 + 10,4 years ) with persistent atrial fibrillation resistant to medical treatment are included. Endocardial treatment appeared to be more effective than medical treatment because quality of life in a year period significantly improved.
