The development of natural science in the 20th century, in particular cosmology, gave a new impetus to its interaction with theology. The majestic picture of the universe that contemporary natural science reveals to us requires theological and philosophical comprehension. This comprehension is carried out by man as a bearer of the image of God in the context of understanding his place in the world as God’s creation. Thus, the dialogue between theology and science is a complex interaction of two phenomenological perspectives, carried out within the framework of open-ended philosophical hermeneutics.
