The article presents a theoretical analysis of career orientation concept. This concept is regarded by the author as valuable orientations in career and as attitude which is the source of the person''s career goals. Career orientation has motivational, directing, regulating function. The article places the emphasis on the fact that student’s age is the age of career orientation formation. Career orientation formation is influenced by many factors. The author researches the career orientations in student age by using the methodology "career anchor". The results show that the most important career anchors in the student age are the autonomy and the stability of the residence place, the least important - management and entrepreneurship. In conclusion the author gives some recommendations for the development of students’ self-actualization and their career orientations.
