Carnival discourse as an expressionist code in P. Rozai's novel "15000 souls"

Бесплатный доступ

On the example of P. Rosa's novel "15000 Souls", we see the phenomenon of interpenetration of the aesthetics of expressionism and carnival culture, and the chances for the renewal of the world, which are theoretically assumed by both in their initial assumptions, are highly controversial. From the chaotic elements of death, synonymous ranks in the novel are built, like the Rabelais chronotope. Expressionist carnivalization in contemporary literature has little to do with laughter culture as the basis for the renewal and revival of the world. In the authenticity of the holidays no one believes, even their participants themselves. The picture of the apocalypse and the scenery of death and decay is every regular voyage of the protagonist. With the help of expressionist stylistics and carnivalization, the writer delivers a verdict to humankind.
