Carotenoids in yellow-painted seeds of spring rape

Carotenoid (β-carotene and csantophils) content is determinated in germs, seed coat and black- and yellow-painted seeds of spring rape. It is shown that a total of carotenoids in yellow-painted seeds and oil, obtained from it, outnumbers more then twice ones of usual seeds. It raises significantly biological value of rape oil.
