The article focuses on the typology of intertextuality within the novel genre. The study examines a literary work that, through the writer's artistic skill, highlights the flaws of the legal sphere and possesses a unique parrhesial nature, i.e. it can express the author's critique of legal realities. The creator of the novel is seen as a parrhesiast who wields two 'professional codes,' merging the realms of fiction and law. This integration is a hallmark of parrhesia, and manifests in three intertextuality types: metatextuality, paratextuality, and direct intertextuality, all explored through the author's intertextual mask. The author's intertextual masks, reflecting various socio-linguistic consciousness types necessary for creating a novel, are as follows: a lawyer-strategist, lawyer-historian, lawyer-ideologist, lawyer-propagandist, artist-creator, artist-parodist, etc. These masks are evident in the author‟s narrative style manifested through discursive strategies, tactics of speech influence, and language techniques.
