The article is devoted to the analysis of the category of space in the financial and economic terminology of the Russian language, identifying the image schemas that objectify it and the means of their linguistic realization in the semantic structure of terminological units. Using conceptual-semantic, word-formation, definitional and frame-slot analyses, it is revealed that the category of space in financial and economic terminology is represented by five major image schemas: LOCATION, DISTANCE, CONTAINER, SIZE, and BORDER. It is noted that the identified image schemas are structured by basic oppositions (top / bottom, vertical / horizontal, external / internal location, etc.). It is concluded that both metaphorical and non-metaphorical terms (toponyms, nomens) participate in spatial conceptualiza-tion. The dominant means of verbalization of spatial figurative schemas are dependent components of multi-word terms, as well as prefixes and prepositions with spatial semantics.
