Improving the existing dosing means and creating new dosing devices in feed preparation is an important and urgent task. This scientific article considers a spiral-plate type dispenser, which refers to volumetric dispensers and meets zootechnical requirements for dosing error. A general diagram is presented, the operation of a spiral-plate type dispenser is described in detail, where the inter-turn space of the scraper is made in the form of an Archimedes spiral. This feature allows you to form the dosed material into a flow of a certain shape and size, significantly affecting the dosing error. The cross-section of a layer of material dumped from a disk of various shapes is considered: from a rectangular section (position I) and a section representing a right triangle with a hypotenuse located at an angle of the natural angle φ to the plane of the disk (position II). Formulas are obtained for determining the length of the scan of one and multi-turn spiral of a turn of a spiral-plate dispenser according to the considered calculation scheme. The kinematic analysis of the dosed material motion is given and the most frequently encountered operation modes of the proposed dispenser are analytically considered. Expressions for determining the path traveled by a particle of the dosed material in a spiral-plate type dispenser are obtained. The values of the radial and actual movement speeds of a material mass unit, as well as the coefficient of radial lag of the material mass are determined. A formula for determining the dispenser productivity is obtained in relation to the presented calculation scheme. The results of experimental studies when comparing the average values of the heights of the material layer showed that the deviation of the actual output from the calculated productivity of the dispenser was the smallest, and meets zootechnical requirements.
