Kinesiological approach in the prevention of disorders of the musculo-skeletal system in student athletes of nonspecialized universities

This article examines the applied kinesiology as one way to provide self-help for student athletes with different spinal disabilities and disorders. The essence of this method is the restoration of nervous system function through a mechanical impact: massage, chiropractic and energy therapies (physiotherapy, acupuncture) in addition to medical drugs, biological additives, psychotherapy. The study presents the analysis results of the prevalence of pain among student athletes of nonspecialized university. The research shows that applied kinesiology can be used as a holistic technology to reduce spinal discomfort and pain during training and recovery processes. It is concluded about the effective application of kinesiological approach during physical education of student athletes of nonspecialized universities when undertaking light-intensity physical activity (standardized swimming, resistive unloading gymnastics).
