Cinema and history lessons: on the educational potential of historical feature films

The article is devoted to the potential of using historical feature films in history lessons to provide students with an educational experience. The author concludes that the use of film fragments in history lessons may be of interest to modern schoolchildren who are focused on visual information and motivate them to further cognitive activity. The use of films in the educational process creates conditions for students to receive various aspects of learning experience - intellectual, physical, emotional, and communicative, thereby ensuring their successful socialization.
