The study reviews the development of the Chinese education system in a globalizing world. Its specific nature is discovered in a deep connection between the philosophical and educational ideas and the traditional culture of China. The most important quality of Chinese philosophy of education is the ability to regenerate and reintegrate traditional values in the spirit of modernity and provide the creative perception of Western influences. The research notes that the stability of modern Chinese society is largely based on traditionalism which is a pivotal mechanism of Chinese social and cultural reproduction. Modern Confucianism is a fairly flexible system capable of updating, applying to really changing conditions, and striving to rethink the tradition by giving it vitality in the 21st century. The author concludes that there is a shift from the opposition between traditional and modernization cultures to their blending in the context of globalization interactions in China.
