The article examines the development directions of such a new sector of China's economy as the 'ice and snow economy'. It also presents statistical data that testify to the high results of China's policy aimed at developing the winter tourism industry and related sectors. Additionally, the possibilities of implementing the measures of this policy in the Russian economy are considered.
