Classification of vegetation of oak forests of the steppe part of the Don basin

The article deals with the results of the studies of many years of the ravine forests of the basin of the Don located in three regions (the Rostov region, the Volgograd region and the Voronezh region). The ravine forests are widespread in these regions. There is conducted the syntaxonomy of the region’s forests on the basis of the ecological and floristic classification (by the Brown- Blanke method). They are presented by 3 classes, 4 unions and 11 associations.
