This article presents a review of the fourth issue of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy’s scholarly journal, “Russian- Byzantine Herald”, published in 2025. It notes that “Russian- Byzantine Herald” continues the tradition of publishing thematic issues, which has made it unique and recognizable among contemporary Russian scholarly philosophical and historical journals. The article briefly describes the issue’s publications, which commemorate the anniversaries of two prominent Russian thinkers of the 20th century. — the 130th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian philosopher, one of the “last Mohicans” of the Russian religious and philosophical Renaissance, and a major classic of Russian thought, Alexei Fedorovich Losev (monk Andronicus; 1893–1988), celebrated in 2023, and the double memory celebrated in 2025 — the 130th anniversary of the birth and 50th anniversary of the death of the outstanding Russian philosopher, philologist, cultural scholar, and literary scholar Mikhail Mikhailovich Bakhtin (1895–1975). The creative paths of the honored thinkers are outlined, and their main contributions to the history of Russian philosophy are indicated. It is emphasized that the long-term work carried out by the “Byzantine Cabinet” and the “Russo- Byzantine Herald” to study and uncover the treasures of Byzantine and Russian thought makes a significant contribution to the spiritual, moral, and national- state revival of Russia.
