Focus of the study was placed on the impact of multiform versions of ИЛ-1в gene and biocidal activity of leukocytes on the endothelium function condition, as well as on chronic cardiac failure (CCF) development and course. Sampling of genetic material (bucal epithelium) was carried out in 165 patients with CCF of varied severity, which was followed by typing the alleles of ИЛ-1в (С+3953Т) gene. One of the objectives was to evaluate the endothelium function by making use of endothelium-dependent and endo-thelium-independent vasodilatation of brachial arteries and to simultaneously study the functional activity of neutrophils. It was found out that multiformity of ИЛ-1в gene was related to the risk of CCF development and severity, as well as to the vasomotor dysfunction of endothelium. The endothelial dysfunction becomes more evident, as CCF advances and it is accompanied by a decrease in idiopathic and induced biocidity of blood neutrophils depending on severity of the failure.
