Clinical aspects of peculiarities of vascular ans nervous components of mammary gland papillaryareolar complex in women

Vascular, lymphatic and nervous components of the papilla and areola were studied. The investigation was performed using 25 cadavers of females. Macropreparation of mammary gland arterial bed revealed that the papilla and the areola have main supplying vessel (arteria papilla mammaria) and additional skin perforants which travel from the vessels supplying mammarian gland. While performing reconstructive-plastic and aesthetic surgeries on the mammarian gland, one must preserve vascular and nervous components of the vascular-areolar complex.
