Clinical studies of traditional medicine methods and remedies

The growing popularity of traditional medicine among the public and healthcare professionals necessitates an in-depth study and the use of rational techniques and effective remedies within the national healthcare system. The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of traditional methods and remedies using evidence-based medicine approaches, to create consolidated medical technologies employing validated techniques and remedies to improve the level, quality, and cost-effectiveness of healthcare for the population of Buryatia and Russia. Research Methods: Based on an information-analytical study, an inventory and systematization of traditional medicine methods and remedies is planned, along with their clinical study by specialized experts in accordance with current standards. Clinical research will be conducted in the following main areas: “acupuncture,” “herbal medicine”, “manual therapy”, “wellness technologies”, and “specialist training”. Results and Discussion: The study is expected to expand the list of medicinal and wellness remedies, recommend new methods for treatment and rehabilitation of patients, and develop and suggest comprehensive therapeutic, rehabilitation, and medical-wellness technologies for use in clinical and preventive medicine in Buryatia and Russia.
