Clinical manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis accompanied by pulmonary involvement

Retrospective cohort study included 135 patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Patients were divided into two groups: 1) patients with pulmonary involvement (n=72) and 2) patients without pulmonary pathology (n=63). The standard clinical and biochemical examination, immunoassays, hemostasis system evaluation, electrocardiography, echocardiography, and the chest X"ray examination were performed. The study showed that rheumatoid nodules, Raynauds phenomenon, arterial hypertension, hepatomegaly, signs of hepatosis or diffuse changes in the liver according to ultrasound examination, neurological disorders, and abnormal IgA levels were found significantly more often in RA patients with pulmonary injury.
