The features of clinical current of ventilator-associated pneumonia are presented in the article. The examination was performed in 117 patients. The disease develops more often in patients of surgical profile which that promotes urgent intubation and urgent surgical intervention. Main nosologic forms among surgical diseases are recognized to be acute pancreatitis and complicated course of peptic ulcer. Other clinical features of the disease are the development of pulmonary complications - pleural effusions, pneumothorax and lung abscess.
