The clinical-immunologic investigation and examination of cytochemical status of peripheral blood neutrophils were performed in 109 children aged 3-12 years with recurrent HSV infection. Enzymatic systems imbalance of peripheral blood neutrophils manifested both in acute condition and in the remission of the disease. The depression of T-cell immunity and functional deficiency of nonspecific resistance of the organism were noted in the course of the disease.
