In recent years, the interest of researchers in the formation and course of non-psychotic mental disorders, clinical manifestations of psychopathological symptoms and therapy in family members of oncological patients has increased. Materials and Methods. The study involved 34 patients who are members of families of cancer patients. Clinical-psychopathological, clinical-dynamic, psychometric methods were used as the main methods of examination. Results. The condition of patients from families of cancer patients during hospitalization was characterized mainly by anxiety-depressive symptoms of varying severity within the framework of neurotic disorders. In treatment at the initial stage, the leading method was psychopharmacotherapy, aimed at reducing the severity of anxiety manifestations and establishing compliance between the doctor and the patient. At the next stages of treatment, psychotherapy was the leading method. The positive dynamics of the patient's condition was monitored both by the reduction of clinical manifestations and by psychological scales. Conclusion. The results of the study allow us to judge the prevalence of anxiety-depressive symptoms in patients from families of cancer patients within the framework of the diagnosis: adjustment disorder (F43.2) - 64.7%. The factors contributing to the development of adjustment disorders as a result of stress caused by the illness of a family member were identified. The features of pharmaco- and psychotherapy of this category of patients are indicated.
