Clinical-psychological characteristics of mental health problems of visually impaired children

86 students of the correctional boarding school of III-IV types have been clinically examined. 70 of them (62 % of visually impaired) had mental health problems at various levels (disturbance of adaptation, disorders of psychological development, etc.). The features of the clinical picture of disturbances, diagnostics and early detection of anxiety and affective disorders, the qualitative analysis of the clinical scales of anxiety and depression are discussed. The medical and psychological components of complex rehabilitation programs have been presented.
