Klishirovannost of characterologic descriptions as element of the system of figurative means of the writer

Use of language units in works of art has purposeful character, being subordinated to expression of intensions of the author who usually aims to make perhaps deeper esthetic impact on the reader. Certain verbal graphic means are for this purpose used. Quite often within different texts of one writer they become steady. This phenomenon can be considered also on examples of books of a detective genre of the Soviet era. A.G. Adamov was one of the most prolific and popular authors of that time. Article purpose - consideration of a number of texts of A. Adamov in aspect of classification and the analysis of the graphic means applied by the writer to characteristic synchronously of both appearance, and social lines of the characters. Methods of continuous selection of some epithets of works by the author, quantitative and kvalitativny approaches to material, historical and lexicological digressions are for this purpose applied. As a result it is possible to establish that group of adjectives with a root it is thin - it was rather widely used by A. Adamov at the description of characters of works, having become a fragment of its system of graphic means. However same it was also the reason of a noticeable klishirovannost of such word usage, and it, in turn, could hardly promote due esthetic effect of texts - both single, and their sets.
