The article discusses the results of the analysis of the legal framework for the training of graduate students, scientific literature on the problem of research and practice of teaching graduate students at a university in a certain period of time. Revealed urgent problems concerning the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel in graduate school and considered as a solution to the development of an integrated approach to support the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel in graduate school. The purpose of the article is to identify and substantiate the main aspects of the formation of the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel in graduate school from the 20th century to the present.
