Book culture in the system of pedagogical research

The article is devoted to the problem of expanding the disciplinary field of research, traditional for the scientific specialty 5.4.10 Library science, bibliography and book studies, substantiating the possibility of studying current scientific problems of book culture within the framework of pedagogical discourse. Based on the results of the conducted theoretical research, the authors propose an anthropological approach as a conceptual basis for the study of such scientific areas, which allows us to consider book culture in the system of modern educational sciences and pedagogical practices. The article proposes the main directions of pedagogical research of book culture related to the study of the culture of the book, the culture of its dissemination, and the culture of reading. The authors pay special attention to the study of the problem of formation and design of human resources for industries related to book culture. In this context, the effectiveness of a modular approach to the organization of the educational process is proved, which makes it possible to implement the principles of consistency and continuity in the content of education and to form an understanding of the evolutionary nature of the development of social communications and their objects. In conclusion, the article concludes about the high research potential of book culture within the framework of educational and pedagogical disciplines and notes the contribution of such research to the development of a scientific specialty 5.4.10.
