The research focuses on linguacreativity as a cognitive and discursive phenomenon. The cognitive-discursive approach reveals the specific nature of a nontrivial interaction of two systems in a creative linguistic personality's mind - linguistic and conceptual. A creative linguistic personality exploits the potential of a language to transfer knowledge about objective or constructed reality by either creating innovative language units or via a nontrivial usage of the existent ones. Those units do not exist in isolation but occur in a discourse. Linguo-creative processes are thus both cognitive and communicative: on the one hand, the act of innovative nomination is carried out, on the other hand, a certain speech intention is realized in a particular discourse. Discourse, thus, is not only a communicative event, but also a transfer of new knowledge.
