Introduction. Population aging causes an increase in age-related diseases and complications after surgical treat-ment. Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) is a common postoperative complication characterized by a high mortality risk, decreased functional capabilities of patients, and deterioration in their quality of life.
