Trust is one of the most important features of people’s relationship. In this regard, it is one of the subjects of scientific research, especially in items of business communication, assessment of empathic potential, studies of conflicts and evaluation of the culture of conducting negotiations. In its turn, the cognitive process is the method by which we acquire, transform and store information from the environment, i.e. higher mental processes that we use to see and explain the world. Based on this position, students should be taught at universities of physical culture and sports. In other words, there are two methods of learning: cognitive and ordinary (common nowadays). The purpose of the article is to try to consider the pedagogical conditions of formation of the economic potential of university students in the process of professional training of students-economists. As shown in the work, it is this potential that determines the social order of society - competitive graduates of universities of physical culture, who are able to choose right strategies of communication and to assess results of the confidence of market relations. Trust and empathy are presented as basics of the culture of business communication (communicative leadership). Special attention is paid to the development and practical implementation of the model aimed at rising trust of future economists in the educational process of universities of physical culture.
