The subject of the article is the metabola, which is considered not just as a figure of speech, but as a methodological technique for revealing specific aspects of phenomena studied in philosophy. The author notes that the study of metabolites has not been widely used in philosophy, consideration of these techniques is more often paid attention in connection with specific poetic works or translingual literature, and some researchers do not single them out as an independent trope. Nevertheless, the author believes that thanks to representatives of such a modern trend of philosophy as speculative realism, metabolites began to acquire a specific cognitive function in the text, which in the future may become the basis for the development of new philosophical methods. The cognitive function of the metabola, in some texts of representatives of speculative realism, manifests itself as a form of transmission that does not have an exact conceptual expression and, often, the antinomic emotional content of the theses underlying philosophical concepts and systems. Moreover, we are talking not about the formal disclosure of emotion, about its deconstruction in order to predict and discover new forms of philosophical reflection.
