Taunt in the modern Russian communication: functional aspect

The article deals with the functional orientation of taunt presented in the naïve and scientific world pictures. There are revealed the basic functions of taunt directed to the deterioration, improvement of interrelation and self-defence. The specified intentions correlate with the results of the conducted questionnaire. There is concluded that taunt isn’t always implemented with the destructive aims and the perception of taunt varies in the diapason of the positive and negative value.
