The coronavirus epoch's collocations in administrative discource: derivational and functional aspect

This article is devoted to the urgent problems of neology and phraseological units’ formation. In spite of the fact that the issue of forming phraseological units seems to be fully worked out, the research of the process of generation and using new phrasemes, which is a product of their time with its historical, social and cultural specific concepts, is still considered to be up-to-date. A brief review of scientific research on the neologisms “born” within the period of the coronavirus pandemic is given in this work. The article focuses on the results of the observations on the innovations related to the pandemic and included into the thematic field of the neologism COVID (according to the classification of predicates by Yu.D. Apresyan) and describes the collocation novations functioning in the current administrative discourse. The following derivational processes are specified and illustrated during the research: transformation of the term from the medical sphere, phraseoformation using stable models, metaphorization.
